Proposed programme
Career development commissioned by the organisation.
Designed with the commissioning organisation. Not a fixed public course, and not an accredited qualification.
The organisational problem
Employers want staff to progress, return, or prepare for a larger role, and need that support to be consistent without turning private career conversations into a management report.
Who it is for
Employees, professionals and commissioned groups. Typical sponsors are HR, learning and development, and line leaders in public, charity and private organisations.
What the programme can include
Included only where discovery shows they belong in this brief.
- Career progression and the decisions in front of someone now
- Professional confidence
- Employability and how experience is described
- Workplace communication
- Personal development planning
Possible delivery formats
- One-to-one career coaching
- A small cohort commissioned together, with individual time retained
- Online via Zoom. In-person work can be discussed where it is practical
Intended learning outcomes
These are the outcomes a programme can be designed towards. They are not guaranteed.
- Each person leaves with a plan they had a part in writing
- The employer receives only what was agreed in writing: attendance, themes, or a short note
- A confidential space that is not the same as a performance review
Proposed delivery approach
The organisation commissions the work and agrees the boundary of reporting first. Each participant then has a confidential conversation. This is distinct from personal career coaching bought by an individual, which sits with UYP Coaching.
How outcomes can be evaluated
Against the reporting agreement: attendance, themes, and participant feedback. Promotion, retention and salary outcomes are not guaranteed.
